Do I need to have Class A CDL?
Yes, we currently have only class A CDL jobs available.
How much experience is needed?
For most positions, first CDL class A has to have 1 or 2 year old issue date or more. Actual driving experience can be less than 1 year, but CDL experience is is required for insurance purposes.
Sometimes there are exceptions to this.
How much do the jobs pay?
We have a company driver job, that starts from 60 CPM, pays around 1500-2500$. Or position with rent, around 1500-3500$, you will earn more with rent if you can do a lot of miles. Sometimes there are other positions too.
What is usual on the road time, for OTR position?
2-3 weeks on the road, 2-3 days free. 2 weeks minimum. You can stay longer if you want, more free days for a longer stay.
This may vary for different positions, does not apply to regional or dedicated line positions.
What type of trailers are used?
Most common positions are for dry van, also have reefer, flatbed positions sometimes, but they are less common.
What kind of truck I will get?
Usually, we don’t have all the information of which truck you will get exactly, but they are from this range:
2019 – 2024 Freightliner cascadia
Has Fridge, microwave, inverter
Trailer brand new, Sleeper type.
Governed at: 70-75
Some have GPS, some don’t, usually no APU.
Can I buy a truck with a Lease/rent purchase position?
Yes, but we recommend starting with a lease-only position to check the company and dispatchers, and after 1-2 months, you can switch to a Lease purchase.
Can I take the truck home, for my home time?
Yes but we do not pay for parking.
Is this job w-2 or 1099?
1099
Is there forced dispatch?
No no forced dispatch. Can communicate with the dispatcher to set up preferences.
How does payment work?
You will get paid every week after the first week, direct deposit.
Can I book my own loads?
No.
Where is orientation, how long it is and is it paid?
Chicago. Around 3 hours, you will get the truck and the load same day, orientation is not paid.
How soon can I start after applying?
After the drug test, you can start in 2-3 days.
Do you hire SAP drivers?
Right now only hiring if you have completely finished sap program, including all random tests at step 6.
Why do we ask for a picture of older expired driver’s license sometimes?
In some cases, our insurance provider needs it as a proof of experience.
